✅ Tips for Completing the Application

Where do you live?

For this application, enter the address of the condo unit you're insuring.

Deductible Loss Assessment

This generally refers to belongings you own inside the unit, such as appliances, furniture or other landlord-owned contents. Choose a limit appropriate for what you own.

Personal Property Coverage

This coverage helps protect you if your condominium corporation charges an eligible portion of its master insurance deductible back to you.

For comparison, the previous SIREG-arranged unit-owner insurance for my condo listed $50,000 in deductible loss assessment coverage.

To find your condo corporation's master insurance deductibles, search your email for your Periodic Information Certificate (PIC).

Remember that the master policy deductible and the amount that can legally be charged to an individual owner are not necessarily the same.

Is MAX a long-term solution?

It certainly can be, but it may also be a useful temporary option while you regain control of your unit and gather the information needed to shop for more competitive coverage.

Once you have full property details, I encourage you to compare your options with your existing home and auto broker. If you don't have a broker, I'd be happy to help!

MAX offers flexible cancellation, with no separate cancellation penalties. However, this program is intended for owners who expect to maintain their coverage for at least a few months.

If you're simply looking for insurance for a week or two while arranging another policy, I'd encourage you to explore those alternatives first.

If you're looking for coverage while you work through the SIREG situation and establish a longer-term plan for your property, MAX may be a great fit.

A note about short-term coverage:
